Chuck Burke Olympic 1000 Meter Award |
| Continuing the recognition
begun at the Kraft Foods - Northbrook Short Track Open in 1995, this special award is
presented each year to the man who skates the fastest 1000 meter time during the meet. Chuck Burke was the first of many members of the Northbrook Speed Skating Club to qualify for the U.S Olympic Team, representing the United States at Oslo, Norway in 1952, and again in Cortina, Italy in 1956. |
